Sorry for the radio silence gang. I've been a busy boy. I'll try to
add some to the blog more often through the fall and winter.

Selecting songs for SoundFalls in Carnation

In December my father and I, along with a couple of paddling buddies, will sing a few songs at SoundFalls in Carnation. I'm looking forward to singing The Parting Glass, Wild Rover and a few others.

As I learn more about the blog I find some silly things that lead to confusion.

Apparently the "comments" were not available to everyone. That is now changed. Everyone can comment now. Unless we get a lot of spam I'll leave it that way.

Masada "Downers"

TJ commented on the Masada "uppers" photo so I thought I'd
post a shot of the "downers." That was a hot day!

Caesarea 1979

The day we spent in and around Caesarea was a fascinating one. As with everything in Israel, history is thick there on the coast of the Med. For a little of this history, check out this website.

Matterhorn 1977

Some of us on this trip hiked up to the Hornli Hut on the Matterhorn. It was a spectacular day in the mountains. I think at least one person went skiing on the glacier on the other side of the valley. It is a magical place indeed.

Did we spend the night in the hut? I can't remember.

Floating on the Dead Sea 1977 and 1979

A conversation at work the other day got me remembering the great feeling of floating on the Dead Sea. Same day as our visit to Masada. As I recall, we did this both years.
