The day we spent in and around Caesarea was a fascinating one. As with everything in Israel, history is thick there on the coast of the Med. For a little of this history, check out this website.
Some of us on this trip hiked up to the Hornli Hut on the Matterhorn. It was a spectacular day in the mountains. I think at least one person went skiing on the glacier on the other side of the valley. It is a magical place indeed.
Did we spend the night in the hut? I can't remember.
I've been rooting around in my piles of photos and finding some gems. Over the next few months I'll try to scan a bunch of them and get them dropped in here for your viewing pleasure. Please feel free to comment whenever you are in the mood.
A conversation at work the other day got me remembering the great feeling of floating on the Dead Sea. Same day as our visit to Masada. As I recall, we did this both years.
On the right side of this page is a list of Chorale adventures with the year and the destination listed. Please comment here and tell me which ones need to be added. I'll check this post and update the list once in a while.
I can't wait to read the recollections of all the Choralees out there. Please spread the word of the Ballard Chorale Blog (BCB) and we'll get this thing started. I'm just now working out how to open the posting to everyone. I'll keep you in the loop...
Since the 1960's, Bob and Gerda Bune and generations of Choralees have made The Ballard Chorale a thing of musical beauty. The music and memories resonate down the years and the spirit of The Ballard Chorale lives on today.
The purpose of The Ballard Chorale Blog is to collect stories and photos from all the good times, so please email me with your photos and recollections. Let's celebrate, together, the wonderful community that is The Ballard Chorale.
Send stories and photos to hanoldbune(at)earthlink.net and I'll post them here.
