More from Daryl. If you look closely at the Matterhorn you can see the Hornli Hut on the bench at the base of the east ridge. Some of us spent the night in the hut and came down the next day. Great fun and some tense moments too. Some folks found that coming down a mountain is a bit more intimidating than going up. I've since found this to be repeatable phenomenon.
